Above is my experiment in going to the Utah State Legislature and doing short format "news stories" and reporting on what the legislature was working on. It was good experience to interview the folks that I did. I happed to be there during the huge school voucher debate and passage of the bill. You will notice that these stories are similar to the slash and burn treatment that the mass-media does. Those stories felt uninformative and lacking in good substance. It made me feel sorry for the gentleman who joined me in reporting on Capitol Hill. Rod Decker, and the guy who acted as if I were invisible from channel four, who you see in the voucher interview. The lesson I took away was I'm glad I'm a film maker and not a reporter. About the Capitol Report
