Fire & Flavor Returns to Deer Valley
The Fire & Flavor Festival returns to Deer Valley Resort for its second year, bringing together renowned chefs and open-fire cooking.
The Fire & Flavor Festival runs across five summer weekends as chefs bring live-fire techniques and signature dishes to life, all set against the stunning mountain backdrop that Deer Valley Resort offers. Food and beverage are available à la carte throughout the festival.
The Festival takes place July 11-12, July 18-19, July 25-26, August 1-2 and August 8-9 at Silver Lake, from 11:30 AM to 4 PM.
Each weekend features a distinct lineup, from open-fire seafood to regional BBQ, alongside craft pours from local Utah breweries and live music. The experience is rounded out by Chef Peter Menteer’s 8-foot paella with local meats and seafood and Chef Sam Phelan’s plank salmon cooked over open fire pits.
Admission is free with a $10 lift ticket and one child rides free per paying adult. Food and beverage are available à la carte, with $25 entrée plates.
Ogden Farmers Market Returns
The Farmers Market Ogden has returned for the 2026 season. It’s three blocks in the heart of downtown Ogden filled with farmers, food producers, artists, and makers, alongside food trucks, live music, and family-friendly programming.
With more than 300 vendors rotating throughout the season, the market offers something new every Saturday.
The Ogden Farmers Market runs on Saturdays, May 23 to Sept. 12, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Historic 25th Street. Admission is free and open to the public.
Salt Lake County Farmers Markets to Visit This Summer
Wheeler Farm Farmers Market
Already underway for the season, Wheeler Farm’s market runs every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 6351 S. 900 E., Murray. Set on the grounds of Salt Lake County’s historic working farm, it combines more than 100 vendors with farm animals, barns, and open space that make it feel more like a Sunday outing than a shopping trip. Its setting is arguably the most unique of any market in the county.
Downtown Farmers Market
The state’s largest farmers market opens Saturday, June 6, and runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pioneer Park, 300 S. 300 W., Salt Lake City. With more than 250 vendors, it offers the widest selection of Utah-grown produce, local meats, flowers, artisan foods, and handmade products. It regularly attracts thousands of visitors each week and has become one of the region’s signature summer events.
Sandy Farmers Market
Opening Saturday, June 6, the Sandy Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sandy Amphitheater, 1245 E. 9400 S., Sandy. While smaller than the downtown market, it is known for its community atmosphere and mix of local growers, food vendors, artisans, and family activities.
People’s Market at Jordan Park (formerly 9th West Farmers Market)
Opening Sunday, June 14, the market runs Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Jordan Park, 1060 S. 900 W., Salt Lake City. Known for its neighborhood feel, live music, and local artists, it blends a traditional farmers market with a community festival. This season is expected to be its final year in its current form, making it a notable stop for longtime patrons.
New Roots Farmers Market
Opening Saturday, June 13, with an additional midweek market beginning Wednesday, June 17, New Roots operates at 3500 S. 1300 W., West Valley City. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Wednesday hours are 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. What sets it apart is that the produce is grown by refugee and immigrant farmers from around the world, bringing crops and varieties not commonly found at other local markets.
