New Bar at Epic Brewing
This Friday, April 17, 2025, Epic Brewing Company is unveiling their new bar to the 21 and over public, located at 825 S. State Street in SLC.
You may recall that Epic formerly had SLC’s smallest bar, with something like six bar stools. Well, that bar still exists in the front part of Epic adjacent to its beer store. But there is a new, sprawling bar in the rear of the building with an outdoor patio and seating for mobs of beer lovers.
In addition to Epic’s award-winning high point brews in cans, bottles and on tap, the new bar also offers craft liquor cocktails.
According to the folks at Epic Brewing Company, “Our expansion brings more than just extra space—it’s a full upgrade to how you know Epic. Expect a new selection of beers on tap featuring fan favorites, rotating seasonal selections and a curated range of barrel-aged offerings. Alongside a newly introduced lineup of crafted liquor drinks. And to round out the experience, we’re bringing panini sandwiches back!”
In addition to panini’s, the General Manager told me that there would be a rotating selection of food trucks parked adjacent to the Epic patio for customers looking to nosh on something other than paninis.
Grads & Prom Specials at Rodizio
Roodizio Brazilian Steakhouse in Trolley square is offering dining specials to graduates and prom goers in April, May and June.
Through June 30, a graduate eats free at Rodizio with a group of five or more. Not valid on Mother’s Day weekend or on Father’s Day weekend. Graduate must show a photo of diploma or announcement to receive discount.
Rodizio is also offering a Prom Special during April and May, inviting prom couples to celebrate in style with their exclusive prom package: $100 per couple includes two dinners, two refillable Brazilian limeades, and a select dessert to share, plus tax & gratuity. Students must be in Prom attire to receive discounted package pricing. May not be combined with other offers. Guests must mention “Prom” upon booking. Reservations required. Expires May 31, 2026.
Derby Day at High West
Mark your entertainment calendars for Saturday, May 2, 2026. That’s when High West Distillery (703 Park Avenue, Park City) hosts an afternoon brimming with Southern flair to celebrate the 152nd Kentucky Derby.
According to the folks at High West, “Party guests will indulge in mouthwatering appetizers and a lavish buffet, sip a signature Derby-inspired cocktail, and tap their toes to lively entertainment while cheering on their favorite horse in the most exciting race of the year.”
The fashion-forward event welcomes big hats, bold bowties, and iconic charm for a shot at fabulous prizes in the spirited Best Dressed & Best Hat contests.
This event is 21+ only. In accordance with Utah law, all guests must present a physical, valid ID for electronic scanning upon entry—no exceptions, regardless of age.
