Wine Tastings at La Caille

The food and beverage team at La Caille in Sandy invites guests 21 and over to “Sip, savor, and unwind with our exclusive Wine & Cheese Pairing Experience—offered every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evening. Discover the art of pairing as you enjoy a curated selection of exquisite wines alongside thoughtfully sourced local cheeses. Each tasting is designed to awaken your senses and elevate your evening.”

The wine tastings – hosted by wine expert Angela Doty Eltzholtz – include sips of five Chateau La Caille wines accompanied by curated artisan cheese pairings. The cost per person is $29 for wine and $16 for the cheese pairing experience, plus tax and gratuity.

“Little Chefs” Culinary Series: Cookie Decorating

Jan. 25, 2026 | 3:30 p.m.

In this hands-on class, kids will learn how to decorate cookies with colorful frosting, sprinkles, and fun techniques. Each young baker will take home a Deer Valley logo apron and chef hat to show off their new skills. Perfect for little chefs who love to get creative – and a little messy – in the kitchen.

Kids Month at Taqueria 27

During the month of January, kids eat free at Taqueria 27 locations. “We’re starting the new year with what matters most — family, food, and time together,” say the folks at Taqueria 27.

The details: One free kids meal per paying adult; for kids 12 and under; all month long in January – dine-in only.

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico.
