Utah’s Best December 2025 Holiday Events

From holiday markets and festive light walks to food tours, museum events, and New Year’s celebrations, here are the top December 2025 holiday happenings across Utah.

December 1-24

Holiday Shoppes at Millcreek Common. Presented by Utah’s Own,  a large collection of local makers are featured, including a variety of foods with everything from sweet to spicy. In the Apothecary Space, find self-care products. Handmade crafts are also offered. Held daily from 11 am to 9 pm. 

December 10

Light Walk 21 + Night: Cocktails and Cardenalitos. This event will be held from 5:30 to 9 pm at Tracy Aviary. It will include a walk through 8 acres of festive light displays with Santa and a life-size gingerbread house. Admission is $40 and includes one drink ticket. Additional food and drinks may be purchased.  

December 11-13

The Yuletide Holiday Market at the Other Side Village. The market will feature local vendors, hot chocolate, and music. The Other Side Village is located at 1882 W Indiana Ave. Times are 4 pm to 8 pm December 11 and 12 and 10 am to 8 pm on December 13. 

December 12

Sundance Tree Lighting Celebration at Sundance Resort. Kick off the holiday season at Sundance Resort Village with free cookies, hot cocoa, and a visit from Santa. Festivities start at 5pm with an opening ceremony and tree lighting at 5:30pm. This is a free event.

December 13

2025 Camp Floyd Christmas. Presented by Camp Floyd State Park and Stagecoach Inn Museum at Camp Floyd State Park, Cedar Valley. Held from 10 am to 4 pm. See how the soldiers of Camp Floyd celebrated Christmas. Santa and The Grinch will also be on hand with food available for purchase. Admission is $5 per person or $15 per family. December 16

Bites and Brews Food Tour. Take a tour of historic downtown Ogden through food and drink. Stops include Slackwater, Xalisco, UTOG, and Roosters. Cost is $65 and you can sign up here.

December 20

Third Saturday for Families at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts: Make Your Own Game. This free event lets you create your own family board game that doubles as a work of art. Admission to the Museum is free every third Saturday of the month and includes an art-making activity. On December 20, learn about games from all over the world and then create one of your own. Held from 1 pm to 4 pm.

December 20

Natural History Museum of Utah Winter Solstice. Celebrate the Winter Solstice marking the shortest day of the year. Activities will include creating sun catchers and paper snowflakes. Learn about polymers by making Insta-Snow. Admission is $6 with pre-registration and $8 on the day of the event. 

December 23

Muppet Christmas Carol Sing-Along at Ogden City’s Peery’s Egyptian Theater, 2415 Washington Blvd. Ogden. Held at 10 am and 5:30 pm as a ‘sing-along pajama party’ while viewing The Muppet Christmas Carol. Weber State Alumni is sponsoring the event. Cost is $8 per person with all proceeds going back to Christmas Village. Tickets can be purchased in advance here.

December 24

Santa’s Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks 2025. Presented by Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort at Snowbird. Grab some hot chocolate on the Plaza Deck and watch as the mountains are illuminated by the Torchlight parade and fireworks before Santa makes an appearance. 6 pm to 6:30 pm.

December 27

Solitude Nordic Nights at Solitude Mountain Resort. Follow snowshoe trails by the light of the moon as hundreds of torches and candles guide the way. Lake Flat and Silver Lake trails will be illuminated. There will also be fire pits and complimentary s’mores. 

December 31

SLC’s 16th Annual NYE Masquerade Ball. Held at the Salt Lake City Downtown Marriott at City Creek. Dance under sparkling lights with a massive balloon drop with music by Anaiis Chantel Jazz Trio, The Changing Lanes Band, and DeeJay Stario. Food, cocktails, or champagne will be on hand to toast the new year. Tickets can be reserved here and are priced at $155 that includes a three course dinner, party favors, a photo booth and live entertainment. Dinner is at 7 pm and the night ends at 1 am.
