I always have mixed feelings about promoting restaurant dining for Thanksgiving. That’s because the employees who have to work at restaurants on Thanksgiving Day aren’t able to spend that holiday with their friends and loved ones. So, I applaud restaurateurs who don’t open for Thanksgiving, allowing their employees to enjoy the day.
On the other hand, Thanksgiving meals – usually buffets – are money makers for restaurants and those who work in them. So I guess I’ll just say that if you do dine out in a restaurant for your Thanksgiving meal, be sure to show your appreciation of the staff who cooked for you and served you by leaving a very generous gratuity. That said, here are some great restaurant dining and takeout options for Turkey Day.
