Summer Bites, Wine Nights & Farmers Markets: What’s Fresh in Utah This Week

Dog-friendly dining at Hill’s Kitchen, global wines at BTG, and West Valley’s evening farmers market—all part of Utah’s vibrant summer lineup this week.

The Bark Sale at Hill’s Kitchen

On Saturday, June 28th, 2025 from 11 am to 2 pm, Hill’s Kitchen SLC invites the community to bring their favorite furry friend along for a sunny afternoon on the newly puppy-approved patio of the Hill’s Kitchen Sugar House location. The Hill’s Kitchen staff will be serving up fresh drinks and dishes, with plenty of options for your pet to enjoy as well.

In addition, The Urban Hill culinary team is offering an elevated summer dining experience with new items like the Lamb Porterhouse Chops, which feature extremely fresh ingredients and emphasize sustainability while championing local farms. The new brunch menu at Urban Hill also includes some new delicacies, like house-made zeppole donuts.

West Valley City Farmers Market

The West Valley City Farmers Market kicked off last week. Located at Centennial Park (5404 W. 3100 S.) and operated by West Valley City Parks & Recreation, the West Valley City Farmers Market runs on Thursday evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm through October 9, 2025. 

Included at the WVC Farmers Market are fresh, locally grown/made products, ready to eat food, entertainment, and the Power of Produce kids program giving kids an opportunity to learn and purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. SNAP program accepted for payment. 

Sommelier Selections Wine Dinner at BTG

BTG Sommelier Louis Koppel and the BTG culinary team invite guests 21 and over to their Sommelier Selections Wine Dinner on Wednesday, July 16th, starting at 7 pm. 

Guests will taste four different wines from four different countries – Pink, White, Orange and Red – paired with four selected plates from Chef/Owner Fred Moesginer and his team. Attendees will also learn how each of the wines were crafted. 

The cost for the Sommelier Selection Wine Dinner at BTG is $100 per person ($50/food and $50/wine). Call 801-359-2814 to reserve your spot.
