Utah Food Events: World Refugee Day, Savor the Summit & Free Meals for Grads

This June, Utah’s food scene comes alive with a lineup of vibrant events. Celebrate global flavors at World Refugee Day in Salt Lake City, indulge in Southern-coastal cuisine at Savor the Summit in Park City, and treat your favorite graduate to a free Rodizio Grill feast.

World Refugee Day Features Spice Kitchen Cooks

The good folks at the Spice Kitchen Incubator reached out to say, “As the days grow longer and the temperatures rise, Salt Lake City comes alive to host a variety of celebrations catering to all interests. Be sure to support the talented entrepreneurs from the Spice Kitchen Incubator program who will be showcasing their culinary skills at these must-attend events around town:

World Refugee Day, June 20, 4-10 PM is a “free event celebrating the refugee cultures and traditions that bring beauty and diversity to our communities.”

Featured food trucks for World Refugee Day include Falafel Al Jailawi, Jamaica’s Kitchen, Namash Swahili Cuisine, Waterwheel Kitchen, and Olive’s Oasis. Food booths include Prime Corn, Kurdish Katering, Delicious, and Kente Cafe. 

Craft Lake City, August 8-10 will feature Honey Teahive, Delicious, and Mama Africa. 

Grads Eat Free at Rodizio

Through June 30, 2025, any high school graduate who can show a picture of their diploma will be treated to a FREE FULL RODIZIO when dining with a group of 5 or more! This applies to the Rodizio Grill located at Trolley Square in SLC. 

According to the folks at Rodizio, “All that hard work deserves more than applause. Celebrate BIG at Rodizio with family, friends, and a real feast: unlimited meat, fresh salads, gourmet sides, and more.”

In addition, Cheese Fest started at Rodizio on May 22nd, featuring bold, melty, creamy new creations to their menu.  

Savor the Summit with Deer Valley

Deer Valley Resort’s culinary team is back at Savor the Summit with a daring new menu that blends Southern soul with coastal elegance. 

Enjoy a welcome reception with grilled oysters, crab cakes, octopus & cucumber and gator bites, followed by a multi-course feast featuring heirloom tomato tarta, lobster seafood jambalaya, and a decadent brick oven chocolate crostata.

Savor the Summit takes place on Historic Main Street in Park City on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 6 to 9 PM. .
