Mother’s Day at Log Haven, New Sugar House Eatery, and Spring Menu at The Salt Republic

Utah restaurant updates include Log Haven’s special three-course Mother’s Day lunch in Millcreek Canyon, a new Sugar House location for Hill’s Kitchen with an all-women leadership team, and a spring menu launch at The Salt Republic in downtown Salt Lake City.

Log Haven Mother’s Day Menu

I can’t think of a more special spot to celebrate Mom on Mother’s Day than at Log Haven restaurant in Millcreek Canyon, surrounded by Earth’s natural beauty. Chef Dave Jones and his culinary team have cooked up a special three course luncheon menu for Mother’s Day, May 11, 2015. Here’s what Dave and the crew have in store: 

Hill’s Kitchen Sugar House Now Open

Hill’s Kitchen – a cafe and catering shop located in Park City’s Kimball Junction – has opened a second location in Sugar House. 

According to the folks at Hill Top Hospitality, “Building on the success of its Park City forerunner, Hill’s Kitchen includes numerous new features, starting at the top: This is Hill Top Hospitality’s first property with an all-women leadership team. Vanessa Suminson, Chef de Cuisine, was recruited from Big Sky, Montana, while Pastry Chef de Cuisine Sarah Whistler and General Manager Lucy Clark earned promotions from within the restaurant group. The trio is eager to bring their talents and passion to Sugar House, for everyone from single diners to offices or other groups desiring delicious, easy and affordable catering. Other firsts include a large oven for pizzas and breads, soft-serve ice cream, and a wide choice of wines, beers and cocktails, augmenting Hill’s Kitchen’s tasty custom coffees and non-alcoholic beverages.”

“Hill’s Kitchen is all about bringing people together, whether for a quick beverage or full meal. Classic Hill’s Kitchen breakfast items include a daily selection of house made pastries, as well as Brioche French Toast, a Breakfast Sandwich on a house made biscuit, and Chilaquiles. Guests can also enjoy seasonal soups and salads, or sandwiches such as Pastrami, Paneer Roti Wrap or Bison Patty Melt. Scratch-made pizzas can be customized or guests can choose from popular favorites such as BBQ Chicken,

Margarita and The Classic Pep. Hill’s Kitchen’s dinner menu includes comfort food choices Rigatoni Ratatouille, Prosciutto wrapped Salmon and “Moms” Bison Meatloaf.

New Spring Menu at The Salt Republic

The Salt Republic, located within Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, is celebrating spring with a new seasonal menu.

According to The Salt Republic culinary team, “The dinner menu offers delectable options for every palate, from the lighter flavors of Sweet Corn Soup, or the local foliage and fresh berries in the Mountain Berry Salad, to heartier options such as Fire Grilled Elk, Spring Bucatini, and the Wagyu Pastrami Smash Burger. For lunch, delight in midday specialties such as Burrata Toast with pickled cherry pepper relish, Fried Oyster Mushrooms with a Korean chili aioli and pickled serrano peppers, Beet Salad with whipped chevre and candied pecans and a twist on luncheon classics like the Grilled Chicken Club on focaccia with pesto aioli and bacon. And for dessert, enjoy a Seasonal Cookie Skillet a la mode or something fruit-forward like the Morello Cherry Tart with dark chocolate ganache.”
