Tour de Brewtah 2025: Craft Beer and Bikes in Salt Lake City

Tour de Brewtah returns May 3, 2025, blending craft beer, bikes, and Derby Day fun across Salt Lake City’s top breweries.

Mark your calendars! The Tour de Brewtah is back on Saturday, May 3, 2025 with everything you love. The Tour de Brewtah is an event where you and your friends (21 and over, of course) can sample some of the best local craft beers all while exploring scenic routes throughout the valley.

There are five brewery routes for this year’s Tour de Brewtah, which happens to take place on Derby Day:

Kentucky Derby – SaltFire Brewing, Hopkins Brewing, Bewilder Brewing, Salt Flats Brewing, Shades Brewing

Belmont Stakes – Level Crossing, Uinta Brewing, Kiitos Brewing, Epic Brewing, Wasatch/Squatters

Preakness Stakes – Grid City Beerworks, Fisher Brewing, Desert Edge Brewing, Proper Brewing, Hans Kambucha

Pony Express – Chappel Brewing, 2 Row Brewing, RoHa Brewing, Red Rock Brewing, Templin Family Brewing

Apple Blossom – Scion Cider, Thieve’s Guild, Six Sailor, Second Summit, Mtn West Cider

This year’s Tour de Brewtah promises a Kentucky Derby twist, complete with a costume contest and a photo booth framed by a Horseshoe of Roses. Riders can sip craft beers, grab event specials at each brewery, and collect stamps along the way for a chance at free swag. The event starts and ends at a central hub filled with food, music, and — of course — even more beer. It’s a relaxed ride through the valley, a chance to connect with fellow beer lovers, and a full-on celebration of Utah’s thriving brewery scene.

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico.
