Log Haven Easter Menu

Our friends (and sponsors) at Log Haven restaurant in beautiful Millcreek Canyon announce that “Our Easter Menu has been unveiled, and it’s a feast you won’t want to miss! Join us on Sunday, April 20th, 2025 from 12:00 – 5:00 PM for an unforgettable holiday dining experience.”

“Celebrate Easter in the heart of Millcreek Canyon with exquisite flavors and stunning mountain views. Reservations recommended!”

The Log Haven Easter menu looks like this:

Sushi Squad Moves to St. George

Folks who have loved the Sushi Squad food truck in SLC will now get to enjoy Sushi Squad sushi in St. George.

According to Sushi Squad’s Josh Talley and his team, “We made the move! St. George, we’re here to stay, and Desert Color is our new home! After so much love and support from this amazing community, we knew it was time to make it official—Sushi Squad is now permanently rolling in St. George!”

“Nothing beats fresh sushi with a view like this—red rock cliffs, a blue lagoon, and your favorite Sushi Squad food truck rolling out the best fusion sushi in town! While we’re still working out the details for the permanent setup, and we’re not quite sure what our schedule will be just yet (negotiations are happening as we speak!), one thing is for sure—you’ll finally have the much-needed sushi fix that’s been missing in Desert Color and St.  George,  especially during Spring Break!”

“Keep an eye on our socials for updates on where and when to find us. We can’t wait to serve you!”

Two Bit is Back!

For folks like me, who were hardcore fans of Ogden’s Two Bit Cafe, you’ll be pleased to know that Two Bit is back!

The original Two Bit Cafe on Historic 25th Street closed in 2023 when their lease ended. Now, located inside of the Bigelow (a.k.a. The Ben Lomand at 2510 Washington Blvd) in Ogden, Two Bit is back as Two Bit Bistro

Founded by James Dayley and Penny Allred-Dayley in 2003, Two Bit Cafe was a beloved eatery in Ogden, complete with walls of historic memorabilia, excellent food and fair prices. Eventually, Andrew Shorts was hired on with Penny as his mentor, and the Dayley’s have now passed the Two Bit baton on to Andrew. According to the folks at Two Bit Bistro, “This transition of ownership has allowed Penny to spend more time enjoying the kitchen, while still providing support for the larger operation.”

I haven’t made it to Two Bit Bistro yet, but the owners said that it retains “classic recipes and a familiar name in an iconic location.” Coming soon is a Grab & Go Cafe & Market as well as a Catering Serving. Can’t wait to check it out.
