Longoria Winery Dinner at BTG

On Wednesday, June 19th at 7 pm BTG Wine Bar will host a special four course dinner with four wine pairings from Longoria Winery. On hand will be Longoria winemaker Eric Wilson who, along with BTG sommelier Louis Koppel, will discuss the wines and how they are made.

For decades one of my favorite winemakers has been Rick Longoria, who with his wife Diana founded Longoria Wines in 1982 with the goal of crafting artisanal wines sourced from the finest vineyards across Santa Barbara County. Through the years I’ve loved all of Rick’s wines, but became especially fond of his Pinot Noirs. 

For the past five years or so Longoria Winery has teamed up with Log Haven to create a unique, annual signature wine to sell at their restaurant. This year’s vintage is called Pipeline, named for the Pipeline Trail – a popular hiking trail in Millcreek Canyon. 

In 2022 Rick Longoria retired – although he is still a winery consultant – and Longoria Winery was purchased by Brooke and Lindsey Christian, who continue to operate the winery as a family-owned venture. 

On Wednesday, June 19th at 7 pm BTG Wine Bar will host a special four course dinner with four wine pairings from Longoria Winery. On hand will be Longoria winemaker Eric Wilson who, along with BTG sommelier Louis Koppel, will discuss the wines and how they are made. 

BTG and Caffe Molise Owner/Chef Fred Moesginger will create a special menu of dishes to pair with four Longoria wines: “Matinee” Rosé, “On Deck” Grenache, “Lovely Rita” Pinot Noir, and “Blues Cuvèe. 

The cost for the event is $60/food and $60/wine pairings ($120 per person). Seating is limited, so call 801-359-2814 for reservations.
