2nd Annual Mardi Gras Dinner @ Stanza

On Wednesday, March 3rd at 6:30 p.m., Executive Chef Jonathan LeBlanc and his talented team will host their 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Dinner at Stanza Italian Bistro & Wine Bar. I attended last year’s inaugural Mardi Gras dinner at Stanza and it was one of the most enjoyable nights of the entire year, not to mention delicious.

Dinner kicks off with Blue Crab & Corn Bisque paired with a French 75 cocktail, followed by Shrimp & Tasso Ham – Wild Louisiana White Shrimp, Tasso Ham, Sweet Onion-Pepper Jelly, Pickled Okra, and Slap Ya Mamma Hot Sauce Beurre Blanc accompanied by a Blood Orange Daiquiri. The next course is a Mardi Hog Tamale – crispy Braised Pork Belly, Chili Pork Boudin, Cotija Cheese, Charred Corn, Avocado Salsa Verde and alongside, a Hibiscus Mezcal Sour. Ambrosia Sorbet will be followed by Jambalaya Stuffed Quail with Duroc Bacon Braised Greens, Roasted Root Vegetables, Grand Marnier & Cognac Jus and paired with a Classic Sazerac. For dessert, there’s Southern Pecan Pie with Vanilla Bean Gelato, Madagascar Chocolate Sauce, Mascarpone Cream, and Candied Pecans paired with Brandy Milk Punch.

The Stanza Mardi Gras dinner is $85 per person ($65/food & $20 drink pairings), plus tax & gratuity. Reservations are required and seating is limited. For reservations, click here. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
