Seafood Dining Take-Away @ Deer Valley

For many years, one of my favorite dining destinations has been the Seafood Buffet at Deer Valley Resort, which operates during the ski season. Well, this year – as we all know – things are a little different. Since buffets are a no-no in a pandemic, Seafood Dining – as it’s now called – still offers a dine-in experience, but without the buffet.

And, new for this season, Seafood Dining at Deer Valley Resort can also be enjoyed in your own home, hotel room, or condo if you happen to be visiting. Seafood Dining now offers a to-go menu, available Thursday-Sunday with pick up from 4 to 6 p.m. at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge, which is perfect timing after a day of skiing the pristine Deer Valley slopes. It’s a great way to experience the longstanding Seafood Dining tradition in a non-buffet world.

To-go menu items include Old Bay Poached Peel and Eat Wild Mexican Shrimp, Alaskan Snow Crab and King Crab, Hamachi Yuzu Kosho Poke and Hawaiian Tuna Poke, Lobster and Corn Chowder, Honey Soy-Glazed King Salmon, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Butter & Herb-Crusted Wagyu Sirloin Roast, Applewood Smoked Local Salmon Creek St. Louis Style Ribs, side dishes like Roasted Garlic & Boursin Mashed Potatoes, desserts and more. Orders may be placed until 5 p.m. the day prior to pick up.

Cocktails and Cannabis @ WB’s

If you’re looking for something a little different to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, WB’s Eatery in Ogden has your number.

On February 14th, 2021, WB’s will host a Cocktails & Cannabis Dinner – a five-course tasting with cocktail pairings. According to the nice folks at WB’s, “We’ll be introducing five courses with cocktail (and non-alcoholic cocktail) tastings and CBD pairings, which guests can pre-register to attend for a special evening celebration of all things cannabis.”

The organizers say, “The experience is priced at $150 per guest, ($85 for food, $65 for cocktail pairings) with the private event accommodating up to 15 people. Expect lively conversation and discussion about the cannabis plant, its benefits, and its uses.” For more information and to purchase tickets, click here
