Yak’s Cafe in Blanding, Utah is banning their customers from wearing masks. So this story made national headlines and has appeared on Fox News. The Cafe contended that when customers were coming in wearing masks and they set their masks on the tables, they were contributing to the transmission of Covid.

The Cafe is located in San Juan County, it’s an area that has a notorious anti-establishment streak. San Juan County’s Conservative: live and let live policies are always at odds with Grand County’s much more liberal policies. The signs in the cafe read no masks and no gloves allowed in the restaurant. But if you want to wear those you are allowed to sit outside. According to a report by the Salt Lake Tribune.

The Tribune noted that the move has been well-received by some Yaks customers, including one who left a handwritten note that was shared to the cafe’s page thanking the owners for their anti-mask policy.
