Pascal Jolivet Attitude Sauvignon Blanc

I have always found Pascal Jolivet wines from France to be exceptionally good values. And that’s certainly the case with the wine I’m featuring this week: Pascal Jolivet Attitude Sauvignon Blanc 2018 ($17.49).

I have always found Pascal Jolivet wines from France to be exceptionally good values. And that’s certainly the case with the wine I’m featuring this week: Pascal Jolivet Attitude Sauvignon Blanc 2018 ($17.49).

The Jolivet family have been players in the wine world since 1926, when Louis Jolivet and his son, Lucien, established the Jolivet and Son wine merchant company. The Domaine Pascal Jolivet brand was created in 1987, and today the vineyards and estate covers 120 hectares between Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, 60 hectares in Touraine for making the Attitude wines.

Made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, Attitude is less herbal tasting than typical New World Sauvignon Blanc wines. I love the kiwi and green apples aromas and the unique green pepper notes on the palate. Solid minerality lends the wine a long finish.

Attitude Sauvignon Blanc pairs nicely with a range of end-of-summer type foods such as grilled asparagus, shellfish and seafood in general, as well as chevre. It certainly is a wine with Attitude, and one that I’ve come to love.
