Salt Lake City’s Lake Effect

Salt Lake City’s Lake Effect is one of the city’s most eye-popping bars—if you haven’t indulged in a visit, you’re in for a treat when you do.

The ambiance and decor is gorgeous, and Lake Effect offers up food and drink that hits those same high notes.

The drink list is massive—you’ll need to take some time to peruse it and zero in on your favorite cocktails. There are classic cocktails, modern classics, and Lafe Effect cocktails in addition to spirits, wine, and beer.

Modern classics include a cocktail called Basic SLC Bitch, made with Russian Standard Vodka, Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, Cane Syrup, Cranberry, Orange Bitters, and Soda.

While enjoying some really tasty tacos at Lake Effect last week, my wife ordered a gin-based signature cocktail called the Romantic in Revolt. It’s a zippy concoction of Broker’s Gin, Sweet Chili Syrup, Quinquina, Grapefruit and Lime, garnered with a skewered hot red chili pepper.

This is a cocktail that will surely spice up your evening.
