December 3rd and 4th: Holiday Open House at Red Butte Garden. Find one-of-a-kind gifts made by local artists including handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber art, candies, glass and more. Also enjoy free garden admission. For more information visit redbuttegarden.org/holiday-open-house.

December 5th: Holiday Sing-A-Long. A free event presented by the Herriman Arts Council. This is a family friendly event held at 13011 S 6000 W, Herriman, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Admission is free and Santa will make an appearance.

December 14th: Stroller Tour at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, 20 S West Temple, Salt Lake City. This is a free event with a suggested $5 donation. Held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, explore the Object[ed] exhibit with kids in tow. This event allows anyone to experience current exhibitions in a kid-friendly atmosphere.

December 21st: Wasatch Audubon Bird Walk. Meet at the Rusted Spoon, 2645 US 89, Perry, UT at 8:30 am for breakfast, or meet at the pond on the north end of Willard Bay State Park at 9:30 am. For more information, contact Paul Lombardi at (801) 295-7738.

December 29th to 31st: Eve WinterFest, presented by the Downtown Alliance at the Salt Palace Convention Center. This is a three-day celebration with concerts, DJs, grown-up drinks and activities for kids and families. To purchase an all-access pass, and for more information, visit eveslc.com.

December 31st: New Year’s Revolution Run at the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, 5662 Cougar Lane. Start 2017 off a day early and join 365 runners at the Utah Olympic Oval. Run as many laps as you want during a 5-hour block of time on the climate-controlled, 442-meter running track. Events start at 8:00 am and wrap up around 1:00 pm, with prizes and snacks.
