Richard—the barbarian—is a second generation barber who just re-opened where his father’s shop operated in the mid-sixties. The shop is a converted home and has the great smell of aftershave and waxed floors.

Barbarians Barber Shop is located at 1753 S 700 E open 10 – 6 Tuesday – Friday and 9-5 on Saturday.

Richard’s nickname is due to his prowess using  his blade for barbering–which includes dentistry, cleaning wounds and minor surgery. Richard attends Civil War Reenactments providing soldiers with the clean cut razor shaves only a true Barbarian can offer.

Although he doesn’t practice too much dentistry or overly complicated surgical procedures he will shave ladies leg’s for a reasonable price on request.
