Dolcetti’s Gelato

February 15, 2011 by Richard Markosian Leave a Comment

Elizabeth & Mark England studied the process for making fine gelato for six months in Italy and brought their acquired skills back to Salt Lake City in 2006,

they started selling at the downtown farmers market. Last year their business volume outgrew the space they had on 9th East and 2100 South and they recently moved to where the former Starbucks coffee was on 9th and 9th.

Dolcetti’s Gelato is located at 900 South 902 East

They have also opened a second shop in Park City and have an account providing gelato to the Grand America Hotel. Mark says they are the only gelato makers that adhere to the traditional Italian methods and don’t use “a mix”. Their 9th and 9th store also offers specialty coffee drinks a big assortment of pastries and a cozy setting.
