New Buzz in the Food & Beverage Industry

Dandelion and lavender honeys are being served at a popular resort coffee shop.

Saving the dwindling bee population while also providing local bee products to their hotel and spa guests is the new buzz in the high end food and beverage industry. A recently published Chicago Tribune article mentions that “At the Montage Deer Valley in Park City, Utah — the Beehive State — dandelion and lavender honeys are popular and are served at Buzz, the resort coffee shop.” Montage Director of Public Relations Dan Howard confirmed that indeed, the Montage has a resident Utah beekeeper in Honeyville who maintains hives specifically for the resort and from whom they get honey sold under their signature Buzz label. Still in the drawing board stage is how to keep and maintain hives on the resort’s Park City property.
